# Court, property, permit and business records from a named office

> Get a court filing, deed, permit or business filing retrieved from a named county, court or agency, by your deadline.

Groundtruth: Someone at the place. The record from the office. Send a requirement.

## What it is for

Many records are public in law but not online: older court files, deeds and plats at county recorders, building permits in city files, corporate filings in state archives. Getting one can mean a written request, a clerk's fee and a visit. A lender, title examiner, lawyer or diligence analyst needs the specific document from the specific office by a date. Set out the record, the office that holds it and your deadline, so a retriever who serves that office can act on it.

Paralegals and attorneys, title and diligence analysts, lenders and investors checking a property or a company, journalists and researchers, and agents gathering documents for them.

## What happens next

You get a reference number and your record request in writing. We look at every requirement, and when we can find the record online or a retriever who serves that office, we reply to the email you leave. Nothing is ordered or committed until you agree terms. Contact details are kept apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.

## What you get

A reference number, a request naming the record, the office and the deadline, and a reply when we can find the record or a retriever for that office.

## Scope

United States (federal, state, county and city offices); other jurisdictions are recorded as stated.

- Sealed, confidential and restricted records are never sought.
- Background checks on individuals for employment, credit, insurance or housing decisions are not handled here.
